The stakes in this election could not be clearer.
The 1st, 2nd, 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, and 14th Congressional District Republican Parties have come together in unity to endorse Justice Charles Bethel and Justice Sarah Warren for reelection to the Georgia Supreme Court.
This may be a nonpartisan race, but make no mistake, the future of Georgia’s judiciary is on the line.
Justices Bethel and Warren have proven that they understand their role. They interpret the law as it is written. They respect the Constitution. They decide cases based on facts and legal merit, not politics, pressure, or headlines.
On the other side, their opponents are being backed by Emily’s List, Fair Fight Action, the Fulton County Democrats, and well-funded activist networks from California, New York, and Washington, D.C. These groups are not investing in this race by accident. They want judges who will deliver outcomes they cannot achieve through the legislative process.
That is not how our system is supposed to work.
Georgia’s courts are not meant to be political weapons. They are meant to be a check, grounded in law, guided by principle, and trusted by the people.
We have already seen what happens when outside money and political agendas take over judicial races in states like Wisconsin. The result is a court system that becomes another front in partisan warfare.
Georgia cannot afford to go down that road.
This is the moment to stand up, pay attention, and take action. Talk to your friends. Talk to your neighbors. Make sure voters understand what is at stake.
When you go to the ballot box, remember the names Justice Charles Bethel and Justice Sarah Warren. Vote to keep Georgia’s Supreme Court fair, impartial, and faithful to the law.
Sincerely,
Susie Welsh, GA-12 GAGOP District Chair
The stakes in this election are just as serious, and the responsibility is just as important.
The 1st, 2nd, 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 12th Congressional District Republican Parties are proud to stand together in support of Justice E. Trenton Brown III and Justice Elizabeth Gobeil for reelection to the Georgia Court of Appeals.
Like our Supreme Court races, this is nonpartisan on the ballot, but the direction of Georgia’s judiciary is very much at stake.
Justices Brown and Gobeil have demonstrated a clear understanding of their role. They apply the law as written. They respect the Constitution. They decide cases based on facts and legal merit, not politics, not pressure, and not outside influence.
Their opponents are not running in a vacuum. Democrats and left-wing activist groups from across the country have become deeply involved in these judicial races, spending money, running targeted voter-file ads, and working to shape the outcome of Georgia’s courts. They are not doing this because they suddenly discovered an interest in judicial administration. They are doing it because they understand that courts can become another avenue to change laws when they cannot win those changes through the legislative process.
That should concern every Georgian who believes in the rule of law.
Stacey Abrams and her allies have openly pointed to Wisconsin as a model for the future, calling that race a “blueprint for American progress.” Georgia voters should take them at their word and reject efforts to turn our courts into political battlegrounds.
We have already seen what happens in states like Wisconsin when outside money and political agendas take hold in judicial elections. Courts become battlegrounds, and public confidence begins to erode.
Georgia’s Court of Appeals must remain focused on the law, not pulled into partisan fights. It must remain a court that applies the law faithfully, not one that becomes a shortcut for political activists and special interests.
Now is the time to stay engaged and make sure voters understand what is at stake. Talk to your friends. Talk to your neighbors. Make sure they know how important these races are.
When you go to the ballot box, remember the names Justice E. Trenton Brown III and Justice Elizabeth Gobeil. Support their reelection and help ensure that Georgia’s courts remain fair, consistent, and grounded in the rule of law.

In 1977, as a high school athlete in Fairfax County, Virginia, I helped petition our school board to fund girls’ cross country and indoor track. Because of Title IX, we succeeded. One year later, as a freshman at the University of Georgia, I was stunned to learn there was no women’s track program. I collaborated with the administration to comply with the law, and by 1979, UGA established a women’s track team. I was honored to serve as its first co-captain.
Title IX opened doors for women like me and for countless others who earned college educations because they were given a fair chance to compete. That law exists for one simple reason: to protect women’s athletic opportunities.
That is why I am deeply disappointed that Senator Jon Ossoff supports policies that allow biological males to compete in women’s sports. This is not progress. It is a direct betrayal of the very protections Title IX was designed to guarantee.
Women fought hard for equal opportunity in athletics. We did not do so only to see those opportunities diminished decades later by elected officials unwilling to defend fairness and common sense. Allowing men to compete in women’s sports undermines safety, erases competitive equity, and tells young female athletes that their hard work comes second.
Senator Ossoff should stand with women—not against the law that made our opportunities possible.
